Google Apps, known as GApps, is a set of Android proprietary applications by Google that comes built-in with most OEM’s Android devices (Stock ROMs) pre-installed like the Play Store, Gmail, Google Maps etc. These are the core Google apps that you can find in almost all Android smartphones and tablets but you need to install all these applications manually on your phone after installing the custom ROM because all custom ROMs are based on AOSP versions, so they do not come with built-in Google Apps therefore we are required to flash them separately. Google Apps included Gmail, Gtalk, Google Calendar, Google Play Store, Google Search, Google Map, Google Voice, YouTube, Google Sync, Google Backup, Transport, Google Docs, Google Music and more. So without Gapps you can’t enjoy the full features of your Android.
Keep in mind that every time when you install a new custom ROM, you’ll be required to flash the Google Apps package. In this guide we are sharing the full list of Google Gapps (GApps) for any Android Marshmallow, Lollipop, Kitkat or Jellybean based Custom ROM. All you need to have the latest version of a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP already installed to flash the .zip file of Google Apps package on your Android device. You can also download these packages from the Google Play Store as these apps are always running in Android under the process of com.google.process.gapps. But for the convenience of our users, we have made a list of all available versions of Google Apps or GApps as per requisite Android versions. Below, we have shared the download links of the latest versions of Gapps for Android Phones.
Things To Remember:
Keep in mind that the Android OS version running on your Android device is compatible with the Gapps you are trying to install.
